PVDF, HDP and PE: How to Choose an Architectural Coating System

PVDF, HDP and PE are common architectural coating systems, but they are not interchangeable universal options. Each places different emphasis on weathering, colour retention, application and cost.

PVDF is generally considered for demanding exterior durability and colour stability. HDP offers a balance of performance and cost for selected external uses, while PE is more commonly aligned with interior decoration, shorter-cycle applications or less demanding exposure.

Selection should begin with building location, climate, intended service period, surface effect and budget. A coating becomes meaningful only when its characteristics correspond to the real conditions of use and the supplier's confirmed technical parameters.
